Water Main Break Update – Thursday, July 19th, 2021

ROAD REPAIRS AND PARKING RESTRICTIONS START – TUESDAY, JULY 20th WSSC paving contractors plan to perform road repairs on Reserve Champion starting tomorrow (weather permitting), The work is scheduled to occur Tuesday, July 20th through Thursday, July 22nd. NO PARKING signs have been posted in the curb strips on King Farm Blvd. and Reserve Champion. Please ensure that vehicles parked in the areas identified with temporary no parking signs are moved to avoid being towed. The flow of traffic may be interrupted by the road repairs, so avoid the area if possible. Questions should be directed to WSSC at 301-206-4001.

UPDATE Tuesday 6/29/2021 – STREET REPAIR ON RESERVE CHAMPION Unfortunately, WSSC did not provide notice to King Farm about the repairs taking place tomorrow, June 30th.  On June 29th, WSSC posted signs in the curb strips on Reserve Champion indicating that they would start the road repairs on Wednesday, June 30th starting at 7:00 am and ending on Thursday, July 1st at 5:00 pm. All vehicles must move by the indicated time or WSSC will tow. Remarks From KFCA Board of Trustees & President to The City of Rockville

The King Farm Board of Trustees held its monthly meeting on March 17th, 2021. During the meeting, members discussed the recent attacks against Asian-Americans in our country. The trustees expressed a desire to not only stand against this bigotry and hatred but to do more to bring the residents of King Farm together and encourage a sense of community and inclusion. The Trustees and President were shocked and horrified by these hateful events and would like the community and the City of Rockville to work together to create positive change and welcome an open dialogue. Volunteer to Help Clean up Our Stream!

Come on out! The Annual Potomac River Watershed cleanup is taking place on Saturday, April 10th, 2021. A group of volunteers working with the City of Rockville will be removing litter from Watts Branch streams that feed into Watkins Pond. WHEN: April 10th, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm WHERE: Meet at the King Farm Park near the tennis courts and lower playground. This activity is planned to be COVID-safe activity and bags and gloves will be provided. City of Rockville Continues to Collect Christmas Trees

Rockville is collecting Christmas trees as part of its regular recycling collection throughout the month of January.  The trees will be taken to the Montgomery County Recycling Center, where they will become mulch. The mulch at the recycling center is available year-round and can be picked up, for free, at 16105 Frederick Rd. Residents should place cut trees at the curb for pick-up on regular recycling days after removing all ornaments and metals, lighting wires, stands and decorations, including tinsel. Snow Removal Reminder

Management has received reports that some residents have not cleared their sidewalks from the recent snow/ice storm. This is a reminder that property owners and residents are responsible for removing snow and ice from their driveway aprons, their lead walk, and any and all sidewalks adjacent to their property. After a storm, property and business owners are expected to clear sidewalks within 24-72 hours of the last snowfall. City crews coordinate road clearing and sidewalk work depending on the severity of the storm. It looks like the first snow event will occur today. Please remember, all King Farm homeowners are responsible for removing snow and ice from their driveway aprons, lead walks, and all sidewalks adjacent to their property within 24 hours after a snowfall of 3″ or less and within 48 hours after a snowfall of 3″ or more.
