Concrete and Paving Project To Start In September

KING FARM PAVING PROJECT PHASE I TO START IN SEPTEMBER
The first phase of the paving project will begin in September and end in October. Because King Farm is densely populated with narrow streets and limited parking, there will be temporary inconveniences: restricted access to alleys, streets, parking spaces, and parking lots and street parking overcrowding. Park your vehicle in your garage if you do not need to access your vehicle during the 24-hour closure periods for maintenance. This helps reduce overcrowding street parking and allows residents, guests, and contractors who must park on the street better access. To ensure a smooth process, we kindly request your cooperation with the following:
TOWING – Vehicles will be relocated or towed if not moved by the designated times.
WEATHER-RELATED DELAYS – If a day is rained out, the schedule will continue as detailed, and the missed day will be added to the end of the schedule.
PARKING/ACCESS: Please be mindful of any temporary parking restrictions or access in affected areas and plan accordingly.
TRAFFIC: Follow the instructions of the traffic management personnel and adhere to any signage or alternate routes provided.
TRASH/RECYCLING COLLECTION ON THURSDAYS: Management is coordinating with City of Rockville Refuse Department. However, we expect they will collect the trash early morning if the repair date is on a Thursday. Once confirmation is received, the information will be updated.

PATCHING AND MILLING & PAVING: SEPTEMBER 1ST – SEPTEMBER 21ST
Patching of miscellaneous potholes and deteriorated asphalt areas will be done throughout the community. There may be times when the area may be blocked, and in some cases, the entire alley may be closed. There may be some areas that will require slightly longer time frames. Maps show areas requiring multiple days of work.
CRACKFILL: OCTOBER 12TH, 13TH, AND 14TH (ALLEYS)
Cracks in the alleys and roads will be filled to help prevent further deterioration of the asphalt. The product typically dries in 30 minutes, but surfaces will remain tacky and may stick to tires and shoes (depending on temperatures), so be mindful when walking and driving.
