UPDATE MONDAY 6/28/2021 – WATER MAIN REPAIR ON RESERVE CHAMPION

On Saturday, June 26th, a WSSC water main valve broke requiring a repair. The break occurred on Reserve Champion between King Farm Blvd and Garden View Square. However, the surrounding streets (Garden View Square, Garden View Way, and King Farm Blvd) experienced the effects of the break (loss of water, road closures/detours, mud and dirt, water running on the streets, etc.).

WSSC completed the water main valve repair, restored water service to affected residents and to the Baileys Pool, and made a temporary patch on Reserve Champion so vehicles are able to pass. WSSC has placed Reserve Champion Drive in their repair queue for crews to perform the permanent repair. WSSC said permanent repairs are typically completed in 2 – 4 weeks.

WSSC said signs will be placed on the curbs a few days prior to the scheduled repairs. Please look out for these signs. There may be parking restrictions in place in order for WSSC crews (and designated contractors) to complete the final repairs.

Due to the mud and dirt on the streets, WSSC will send street cleaning crews to the area TODAY between 3 pm – 4 pm (or in the early evening). Please move your vehicle so they can clean the areas. The street sweepers are expected to return to the area again after the permanent repairs are made to the street.

This is the information provided from WSSC. Management will continue to follow-up with WSSC to ascertain the actual work date(s). If we obtain additional information, we will send another email.
