Association News – Friday, August 19th, 2022 Friendly Reminder – Exterior Landscape Maintenance, Trash Containers, & Alley Lights Management continues to receive complaints about the lack of exterior maintenance on neighboring homes: overgrown or dead/dying landscaping (trees, bushes, and grass), broken fence slats, chipping and peeling paint throughout, wood rot (around windows, dormers, decks, and porch railings), mold and mildew (on lead walks, stoops, stairs, siding throughout including below decks/above garage doors), missing components (shutters, railings, etc.), broken/damaged components (gutters, downspouts, missing mortar, vent covers, etc.), driveway maintenance (asphalt sealant/resurfacing or concrete repairs), and improperly stored items or trash on the… Read More »

Ash Trees & Emerald Ash Borer There have been concerns raised about the recent (diseased) trees removed in the community. King Farm is responsible for common area trees and curb trees on private streets maintained by the Assembly. Homeowners are responsible for trees within their lot/property boundary, which can extend past the rear fence in the alley. Trees are an integral part of the King Farm community and the environment. They provide a habitat for many creatures, purify the air by absorbing carbon monoxide, act as natural coolants (provide shade), and enhances the general aesthetic of the community. Pepco has taken essential steps to ready the local energy grid to provide customers with safe and reliable energy service this winter. Just as Pepco prepares, customers should also prepare. Assemble an emergency storm kit. Include battery-powered radio or TV, flashlight, a first-aid kit, battery-powered or windup clock, extra batteries, special needs items, medications, multi-purpose tools, cell phones with chargers, and a list of important and emergency phone numbers. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and State and Local Government restrictions, all future KFCA indoor AND outdoor events and activities have been canceled and the facilities have been closed until further notice. The Saddle Ridge Community Center Remains Closed. Due to health regulations and social distancing requirements community activities have been canceled until further notice. All private event rentals have been canceled until further notice. We are not accepting private rentals at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.
