1st Annual LaunchCARES Charity Race – Saturday, October 8th
Launch Physical Therapy & Fitness Coaching is sponsoring its 1st Annual Charity Race here in King Farm on Saturday, October 8th. We are raising money for a local non-profit called SO WHAT ELSE. The race offers something fun for everyone: Certified and timed 5k/10k races (you can walk these if you wish), a 1-mile fun run/walk, a kids’ Trike-A-Thon, music, lawn games, glitter tattoos, facing painting, food trucks and more. Even the Chick-fil-A cow will attend to give away free kid’s meal coupons to all participating children.
We have received over $25,000 in sponsorships from local businesses – small and large – as well as $5,000 in gift card donations and in-kind prizes to be awarded to event participants.
SO WHAT ELSE provides after school programming, spring/summer camps, a robust food/clothing pantry, and much more to underserved children and families in DC and MD. They are making a big difference in many lives in our local community. So please come walk, bike, pull kids in a wagon, push your loved one in a wheelchair, run, jog, or race to support SO WHAT ELSE in its worthy mission.

We’re Bragging! —King Farm Neighbors Village’s Services
A testimonial from a satisfied recipient of our new community service- simple household tasks:
“Please let the King Farm Village board know how grateful I am for help in the process of donating my drop leaf table to Afghan refugees. I never could have moved the table down the stairs, out the front door, and into the car without your help.
The friend who drove the car was impressed that we have the ability to get help from KFNV when we need it. Thank you!”
Please feel free to avail yourself of this service as well as any of the following King Farm Neighbors Village’s (KFNV) community services:
1. Transportation to appointments,
2. Friendly phone calls, and
3. Friendly visits.
Please note that services are open to KFNV members only; however, membership is free and an easy process.
