It’s Food Truck Friday night and Trippy Tacos will be parked around the Saddle Ridge Community Center (300 Saddle Ridge Circle) tonight from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Our friends at True Respite Brewing will be back selling their IPA’s and lagers, as well as some non-alcoholic sodas.
Saturday night newcomer O’Boy Pizza will be parked around the lawn from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Come out enjoy a pizza dinner while at the Concert of the Lawn. We will also welcome Gemma Gelato and their delicious gelato, what a treat!

King Farm Concert on the Lawn This Saturday Night
The Concerts on the Lawn series continues this Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Saddle Ride Community Center lawn area, 300 Saddle Ridge Circle.
Chasing Autumn is back to rock the lawn! A King Farm favorite, we are excited to welcome them back. Be sure to pack a picnic dinner, some cocktails or buy food from O’Boy Pizza food truck, bring your lawn chairs, and the whole family as we celebrate the kickoff of summer and the return of concerts in King Farm.
To help us follow safe COVID-19 protocols, we ask all who attend to socially distance themselves while seated on the lawn, and to avoid congregating in large groups. Attendees will be required to adhere to the local Montgomery County mandates on mask use for vaccinated and unvaccinated persons while attending all outdoor King Farm activities and events.
Upcoming Board and Committee Meetings
Currently, all King Farm meetings continue to be held virtually. You can access the Zoom registration links to all upcoming King Farm Board of Trustees and Committee meetings by visiting the King Farm website under the “Board & Committees” dropdown and click “Zoom Meeting Links” to register for any upcoming meetings that interest you. To attend the Zoom meetings, you must register in advance. Each meeting will have an open forum for residents to ask questions or make comments (limited to 3 minutes speaking time per resident). If you would like to speak during open forum, please provide the topic you will be speaking about.

Pools – Soap Dispenser Issue
This is a friendly reminder to be courteous in the pool showers/locker rooms. Management has received complaints that on several occasions the soap from the shower dispensers has been pumped out and spread all over the floor. Please be mindful as this is not only a waste of soap but it creates slippery conditions for patrons to fall and additional work for the cleaning staff to clean up. While we do not know who is doing this, we want to remind everyone to not play with the soap dispensers or dispense soap unnecessarily.
Unauthorized Use of King Farm Parking Lots
We continue to receive complaints about non-authorized vehicles parking in spaces within lots. This is a reminder that vehicles without the proper hang tag will be towed. Any of the parking lots managed by King Farm (listed below) with King Farm signage at the entrance/exit of those lots are subject to towing without additional notice.

Commercial & Other Vehicles – Remember that commercial vehicles should not be parked in King Farm overnight unless they can be parked in a private garage. While we understand the need to use commercial vehicles when moving in or out of the community, please communicate those plans to the Management Office. Unauthorized vehicles, trailers, RVs, etc. on City streets will be addressed by the City of Rockville and by the Assembly on private streets.
Townhomes backing to lots – The parking lots are for designated users, so be reminded that neither you nor guests are allowed to park in these lots and will be towed without additional notice.
If you do not have a parking hang tag, please email Management@kingfarm.org. Only one parking hang tag is issued per unit. **Please note: there are only several lots in the community that require parking permits, otherwise street parking is available or you can utilize your driveway/garage. Parking permits are only issued for resident owned vehicles and do not apply for storage containers, moving trucks, RVs, trailers, etc.

Community Room Now Available for Rent
The Saddle Ridge Community Center:
The Community Center is now available for rent. A rental application is required to secure a reservation, which can be downloaded here or by completing the online application. Payment is due at the time of booking your reservation in order to secure your rental date.
As of now, every Saturday in July is completely booked for private rentals or KFCA Activities, so don’t wait if you are interested in booking your next event! COMMUNITY ROOM RENTAL INFORMATION:
- A capacity limit has been put in place for 50 persons* per rental.
- Increased cleaning procedures have been put in place.
- Reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis with a completed application and deposit received.
- Community Center rentals can be reserved for a maximum of 7 hours per day and you are able to pick the time frame. We only allow ONE rental per day.
- Rentals are available Friday through Sunday
- Fridays starting at 3:00 PM until 11:00 PM.
- Saturday’s starting at 10:00 AM until 11:00 PM.
- Sunday’s starting at 10:00 AM until 11:00 PM.
- The Community Center is available to rent for King Farm residents ONLY. Citizens (those who live in King Farm and have registered with the Assembly) are allowed to rent the clubroom. A current copy of your lease must be on file with the Management Office.
- There is a $350 rental fee and $350 security deposit required to rent the room.

King Farm Fitness Center Now Open
The King Farm Fitness Center (gym) located inside the Community Center (300 Saddle Ridge Circle) reopened to residents last week. Due to the limited size of the room (approximately 300 square feet) people are still in close proximity, so we are currently allowing no more than four (4) persons to book a reservation at a time. Reservations can be made up to 1 week in advance. While Montgomery County has lifted COVID-19 protocols, KFCA is exercising caution as we do not know who is fully vaccinated and want to reduce the likelihood of transmission.
- A capacity limit has been put in place for 4 people at a time*.
- ALL residents must sign and submit a waiver to access the pool. If you signed a liability waiver last summer, it is still valid.
- A key fob is required to access the fitness center. The fitness center can be accessed from the side door located on the right side of the community center building.
- If you do not have a key fob, please complete the key fob application form or contact Management.
- A reservation is required to attend the fitness center. Reservations can be made using the Omnify reservation portal: https://kingfarmcitizensassembly.getomnify.com
- Please cancel your reservation if you cannot attend to allow others to book.
- Please check-in to your fitness reservation using the QR Code or through your account in the Omnify portal.
- Increased cleaning procedures have been put in place to help reduce the transmission of the virus.
- Reservations can be booked for 1-hour increments beginning at 7:00 am.
- If you are the only person exercising, you do not need to wear your mask; however, if additional persons are using the fitness center then all persons need to wear masks.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
The fitness center will reopen under limited hours of operation at this time. Because staff leaves at 5:00pm, the fitness center will be open Monday – Friday from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm. The fitness center will close from 10:00 – 10:30am and 1:30 – 2:00 pm to allow for additional cleaning.

King Farm Pools Are Open
COVID-19 Pool Updates:
While Montgomery County has lifted COVID-19 protocols, KFCA has continued to exercise caution to protect residents and help to reduce transmission of the virus. After reviewing current updates from the County, there have been a few changes made. The following procedures will go into effect, tomorrow, Saturday, June 12th, 2021:
Capacity – Saddle Ridge 300 people and Baileys 150 people
Reservations – reservations are recommended, but no longer required.
Furniture – releasing additional pool furniture for resident use.
Guests – Residents are permitted to bring 2 guests to the pool. Guests will be required to sign-in upon arrival and if they are 18 and older, they will need to sign a liability waiver.
Masks – required while entering and exiting the building, inside the building, and while interacting with pool staff. Masks are not required on the pool deck.

King Farm Neighbors Village News
King Farm Neighbors Village (KFNV) is ending its busy June schedule with its highlight event on Thursday, June 24th from 4 pm to 5 pm. At this virtual event, Paul Ballard, Esquire, an Assistant Attorney General, who is Counsel for Health Decisions Policy for the Maryland Attorney General will discuss documents related to end-of-life care, such as Advance Directives and Medical Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (MOLST). Mr. Ballard’s presentation will answer questions about both documents and their differences. The KFNV expects this to be a very valuable and informative presentation for its community.

Governor Hogan Announces End of COVID-19 State of Emergency:
Tuesday, June 15, 2021 — Governor Larry Hogan announced the end of the COVID-19 state of emergency in the State of Maryland. As of June 15, Maryland has surpassed 6.5 million vaccinations, and the positivity rate is a record-low 0.82%. “Thanks in large part to the hard work, the sacrifices, and the vigilance of the people of Maryland, we have finally reached the light at the end of that long tunnel,” said Governor Hogan. “Each and every one of you—your actions—have made this day possible. I am so proud of our state, and I’m grateful to have had this honor to serve as your governor. Thank you all for being Maryland Strong.” – Governor Hogan
The COVID-19 state of emergency will end in two phases:
- EMERGENCY MANDATES AND RESTRICTIONS END ON JULY 1 – All emergency mandates and restrictions will be terminated as of July 1. There will no longer be any statewide mask order in effect for any settings, including schools, camps, and child care facilities.
- 45-DAY ADMINISTRATIVE GRACE PERIOD THROUGH AUGUST 15 – Thursday, July 1 will mark the beginning of a 45-day grace period, where certain regulations will continue to be relaxed to complete the administrative transition out of the pandemic. This includes such provisions as renewing driver’s licenses, winding down emergency health operations, and the moratorium on evictions related to COVID-19.
