Description:
The Assembly is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees. The BOT is considered the legislative branch of the governance structure. The BOT is the
official decision-making group for the community. The makeup of the BOT, how they function, how and when they are elected and the way in which they
do business is all dictated by KFCA governing documents.
The BOT makes all KFCA policy decisions such as adopting and amending Community Codes, propose changes to the governing documents, determining
the annual budget and establishing assessments, borrowing money, approval of contractual obligations over .5% of the annual operating budget not provided
for in the annual budget and contractual obligations over 1% of the budgeted expenditures, and hear and make a final decision on appeals. The Board holds
regularly scheduled monthly meetings (schedule listed below) and special meetings are called, as necessary.
- BOT positions are held as two-year terms through the Annual Election in April. If you are interested in becoming a member, contact Management for more information.
- If you need to contact the BOT, the group email is: trustees@kingfarm.org.
- Please note that the Board only meets once per month and usually discusses issues during scheduled meetings only.
- If you have a question regarding operations and contact the BOT, those items will be forwarded to Management to address.
BOT Meeting Schedule:
The BOT meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Most meetings are held via Zoom at 7:30 pm. The BOT holds Executive Sessions before prior to or after the regular meeting to discuss any personnel or legal issues. Schedule changes will be listed in the Chronicle if timing allows, on the website, and via Management email blasts.
Regular BOT meetings are open to ALL King Farm Citizens. Homeowners and residents encouraged to participate. During the open forum, residents have an opportunity to address concerns or topics directly to the BOT. If the BOT chooses to discuss the topic or issues, it will be placed on a future agenda for discussion.
*Please Note: Open forum allows residents the opportunity to address the board or present a problem or idea they may have. The resident has 3 minutes to speak. The Board is NOT required to discuss this particular matter with the resident.
