2025 TOAST2PEACE ON PEACE DAY EVENT

VIRTUAL PUBLIC MEETING RESCHEDULED TO JULY 23, 2025 – POSSIBLE RESIDENTIAL PARKING POLICY CHANGE

The Department of Public Works is exploring an opportunity to slightly expand the number of residents who are eligible to receive residential parking permits. The current policy for issuing residential parking permits is provided in Section 23-44 of the City Code. There are some residential properties in the city which are on streets that prohibit on-street parking and the nearest streets are regulated by residential parking permits. In these instances, residents living on streets that prohibit parking are not eligible to obtain parking permits for the nearest streets, creating a unique hardship. City staff has identified an opportunity to update the code to help address this issue.

Changing the City Code requires review and approval of the change by the Mayor and Council in an open public process. Before any changes are introduced to the Mayor and Council, the Department of Public Works would like to solicit comments and feedback from residents, particularly those living in communities with existing residential permit parking areas.

This meeting has been rescheduled to July 23, 2025, at 6:30 PM. The meeting will be virtual, and residents and stakeholders are encouraged to attend at the following link:

https://rockvillemd.webex.com/rockvillemd/j.php?MTID=m3b0c713ac157e79407484829152b46ed

All residents and stakeholders are welcome to attend and share comments. Additionally, comments can be shared directly with me via email bbwoods@rockvillemd.gov. The public comment period will be open until mid-August.

ANNUAL PROPERTY LOT INSPECTIONS

Periodic exterior inspections of the homes/lots in King Farm are important for ensuring all property owners are adhering to the maintenance standards listed in the governing documents. These standards contribute to enhancing curb appeal and property values.

HOA Inspections USA, an independent inspection company, will take photos of homes as part of the inspection process. The photographer will be identifiable by their colored safety vest. The photographer will be using cameras to take photos of homes from common/public areas.

The photographer will NOT discuss what issues may be cited for yours or anyone else’s property.

If maintenance items are identified, a notice from HOA Inspections USA will be sent via USPS mail and by email, if on file with the management office. The initial notice will provide a compliance date to bring the noted items into compliance. An email will also be sent to homeowners from the management office. If the items are not brought into compliance, then a Final Notice/ Intent to Hold Hearing will be sent via USPS mail, email and posted to the property address door.

Email notifications will only be sent by HOAUSA for the initial notice if there is a primary email address on file and if there are violation items cited for the property.

You will need to CHECK YOUR MAIL AND EMAIL.
