King Farm Pools Open Tomorrow
Another summer is upon us and the King Farm pools are ready for some action! So grab the sunscreen and the towels as the 2023 swim season is upon us, the pools will open for business tomorrow, Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily.
We want to remind everyone that you must have either a physical Key Fob or Mobile Amenities Pass to access the pools. We are phasing out the physical key fobs, and encourage citizens to use the Mobile Amenities Pass. If you would like the Mobile Amenities Pass, you must return your Key Fob back to the on-site management office. For those of you that have already received a fob you do not need to do anything as your information has already been entered into our system. If you are delinquent in your monthly assessment fees, you will not have access the pools. The on-site management office at 300 Saddle Ridge Circle, is open for appointments and walk-ins Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The King Farm pools will be open for early morning swim only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Early morning swim will start at 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays at the Saddle Ridge pool (300 Saddle Ridge Circle) and Thursdays at the Crestfield/Bailey’s Commons pool.
While we want everyone to enjoy their time at the pool, we want to ensure that people are respectful while they are at the pool. Be sure to review the pool rules. Violations of the rules can result in the loss of pool privileges. It is important that you and your guests are familiar with the rules.
Please remember to follow lifeguard instructions. Failure to follow lifeguard instructions can result in the suspension of the use of the pool for a day, a week, or the remainder of the season. It is possible that due to lifeguard staffing shortages, the pool hours may be affected. However, we are working diligently to ensure that closures are not necessary. However, if closures are needed, please be respected as those are circumstances out of our control.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding and look forward to seeing you at the pool.
*Please note – lifeguards and other patrons may opt to continue to social distance or wear masks, so please be considerate.
Information about the swim lesson program will be available at the pools. The swim team will be busy practicing during the morning and evening hours and will be hosting several home swim meets during select Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. The Saddle Ridge Circle pool will be closed during swim meets; however, the Bailey’s Commons pool will be open. A complete schedule for the Screamin’ Geese will be featured in next month’s Chronicle.

We are excited to welcome back Thunderball, a King Farm favorite, who will kick off the summer sounds with the greatest hits to today’s hottest hits.
The King Farm Screamin’ Geese will be selling food, so be sure to pack the lawn chairs and the whole family as we celebrate the kickoff of summer and the return of concerts in King Farm.
King Farm Neighbors Village News (KFNV)
KING FARM NEIGHBORS VILLAGE
Well, the third time was indeed a charm as the King Farm Neighbors Village (KFNV) after two weather cancellations was finally able to host a guided tour of Glen Echo National Park yesterday, May 25th. All agreed that the tour was worth the wait!
Upcoming June events include a first-ever event—an international potluck on June 22nd-
where the KFNV hopes to celebrate the diversity of the King Farm community through members’ favorite dishes. In particular, the KFNV has the following events scheduled for June.
Events

If you need transportation or have any questions about the potluck, please contact KFNV at kfnvinfo@gmail.com or leave a voicemail at (301) 799-8104.
Please note that the KFNV has changed its monthly Movie Club, Book Club, Coffee and Conversation gatherings, and highlight events to in-person meetings and has reserved the King Farm Community Center, 300 Saddle Ridge Circle, Rockville, MD 20850 for these events. In accordance with the policy adopted by the KFNV Board of Directors, people attending KFNV sponsored, in-person events must be vaccinated per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID recommendations. Therefore, the KFNV will not be offering a hybrid option for any future events. Finally, the KFNV offers transportation to many of its monthly events for KFNV members. Please contact the Operations Coordinator at kfnvinfo@gmail.com, or leave a voicemail at (301) 799-8104 to arrange for transportation.
Services
The KFNV continues to support King Farm residents with its community services. Transportation services continue to be the top category for KFNV services; however, many requests for simple household tasks have been fulfilled. Specifically, some of the tasks that KFNV volunteers have performed are:
- Moved unused tiles from a condominium guest room to a garage,
- Watered indoor plants and checked on condo for a vacationing KFNV member,
- Removed and replaced light bulb in washer/dryer closet of a condo,
- Adjusted furnace duct in a utility room of a King Farm home, and
- Carried a table down a staircase to the ground floor and outside to load in a car for donation.
As you can see, the tasks have been quite varied. If you are in doubt about whether a task could be performed by one of the KFNV volunteers, go ahead and fill out the service form on the KFNV website. Our Operations Team will get back to you to determine if the task is under our umbrella of tasks.
Besides transportation and simple household tasks, the KFNV also offers friendly phone calls, texts and friendly visits. Please feel free to avail yourself of all of the community services that the KFNV offers. Please note that services are open to KFNV members only; however, membership is free and an easy process. See below on how to contact the KFNV to schedule any of the services or with any questions that you may have about the services as well as how to become a KFNV member.
Contacting the KFNV
For most of the KFNV monthly events as well as the services, membership is required; but membership is as easy as filling out an on-line or mail-in form with residency in the King Farm Community being the only membership requirement. Although there is no fee to become a KFNV member, the KFNV does, however, accept and welcome donations; for these donations help defray the cost of KFNV services and events.
For information on how to register for any of the above events, to request a service or a ride, to become a KFNV member or a volunteer, or to make a donation, please contact the Operations Coordinator by calling (301) 799-8104 to leave a voicemail, emailing the KFNV at kfnvinfo@gmail.com , or viewing the KFNV website at www.kfnv.org

RockView Program
If you have a ring camera (or other front door/doorbell camera), you can register it with the RCPD. The RockView program allows residents and business owners to voluntary register their privately owned video security camera systems with the RCPD. Registration in the RockView program does not enable law enforcement to view camera footage without an owner’s permission. However, the RockView program will allow city police to quickly identify security cameras that may have captured criminal activity when a crime is reported nearby. For more information about the RockView program, click here.
If you have a crime or concern to report, please contact the Rockville City Police Department at:
