• Metro back with the group or on your own to Shady Grove. We plan to return by about 2:30 pm to the Shady Grove Station.
Please note you must be a member of the KFNV to participate in this event; however, membership is as easy as filling out an on-line or mail-in form with residency in the King Farm community being the only membership requirement. Please see below under “Contacting the KFNV” for how to become a member.

  1. On Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 7:00-9:00 pm, the KFNV Board of Directors (Board) will host its Annual Board Meeting and Reception in the Community Center, The KFNV Board welcomes all King Farm residents to learn about the KFNV’s missions, what it has been undertaking this past year, and the KFNV’s future plans. More importantly, the KFNV hopes this meeting will serve as a reception for residents to meet and mingle with the KFNV Board as well as with each other. The KFNV hopes to see you all there.
  2. On Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 10:00-11:30 am, the KFNV will host Coffee & Conversation in the Community Center where the discussion topic will be: What do you miss from the old days? (however, you define old days). Please join your fellow King Farmers for an engaging conversation.
  3. The KFNV’s monthly highlight event will be held in the Community Center on Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 4:00-5:00 pm where Joan Green will present: 10 Tech Tips for Getting Started with AI. Ms. Green, a speech language pathologist and a technology specialist will explore:

• How AI can support independence, productivity, learning, and creativity.
• The ways that AI can help people with reading, writing, memory, or organizational challenges.
• What to watch out for –including, privacy, bias, and overreliance.

This presentation will be a wonderful introduction into the new AI world. We hope to see many King Farmers at this event, as the event is open to all members of the King Farm community.

Services

The KFNV continues to support King Farm residents with its community services: transportation to appointments, simple household tasks, some pet services, friendly phone calls/texts, and friendly visits. Please feel free to avail yourself of all of the community services that the KFNV offers. If you are in doubt about whether a task could be performed by one of the KFNV volunteers, go ahead and fill out the service form on the KFNV website. Our Operations Team will get back to you to determine if the task is under our umbrella of tasks. Also, please note that services are open to KFNV members only; however, membership is free and an easy process. See below on how to contact the KFNV to schedule any of the services or with any questions that you may have about the services as well as how to become a KFNV member.
