The Walking Club does not meet when the weather is inclement.
2. On Thursday, February 5, 2026, Movie Club participants will meet in the King Farm Community Center from 2:00-3:00 pm to discuss the film, A Real Pain, a 2024 comedy/drama. The film tells the story of mismatched cousins who reunite for a Jewish heritage tour through Poland in honor of their late grandmother. As the movie unfolds, the old tensions between the cousins arise against the backdrop of their family history. The movie was written and directed by Jesse Eisenberg who along with Kieran Culkin star in the film.
3. On Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 2:00-3:00 pm, KFNV Book Club members will meet in the King Farm Community Center to review the novel, Eternal by Lisa Scottoline. The historical fiction novel explores the relationship of three friends in Rome during World War II.

participants will have lunch at a nearby café. Please note: you must be a member of the KFNV to participate in this event. If you have any specific questions about logistics for this event, please contact the KFNV at (301) 799-8104 and leave a voicemail.
7. On Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 4:00-5:30 pm in the King Farm Community Center, Ralph Buglass of Montgomery History will give a presentation entitled: Sugarloaf: The Singular History of a Singular Mountain. Sugarloaf Mountain, a private oasis of natural beauty and scenic vistas that is open to the public, nearly became Camp David and was almost topped with a modernistic structure designed by one of America’s most famous architects, Frank Lloyd Wright, that instead ended up as a New York City landmark. This extensively illustrated talk explores these and other historical oddities of this tiny mountain that sits all by itself just over the Montgomery County line in Frederick County. This session is open to all King Farm residents.
Services
The KFNV continues to support King Farm residents with its community services: transportation to appointments, simple household tasks, some pet services, friendly phone calls/texts, and friendly visits. Please feel free to avail yourself of all of the community services that the KFNV offers. If you are in doubt about whether a task could be performed by one of the KFNV volunteers, go ahead and fill out the service form on the KFNV website. Our Operations Team will get back to you to determine if the task is under our umbrella of tasks. Also, please note that services are open to KFNV members only; however, membership is free and an easy process. See below on how to contact the KFNV to schedule any of the services or with any questions that you may have about the services as well as how to become a KFNV member.
Contacting the KFNV
For most of the KFNV monthly events as well as all the services, membership is required; but membership is as easy as filling out an on-line or mail-in form with residency in the King Farm community being the only membership requirement. We are a multi-generational Village; therefore, the KFNV welcomes all adult King Farm residents of all ages.
Although there is no fee to become a KFNV member, the KFNV does, however, accept and welcome donations; for these donations help defray the cost of KFNV services and events.
For information on how to register for any of the events, to request a service or a ride, to become a KFNV member or a volunteer, or to make a donation, please contact the Operations Coordinator by calling (301) 799-8104 to leave a voicemail, emailing the KFNV at kfnvinfo@gmail.com , or viewing the KFNV website at www.kfnv.org.
