COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS WANTED

We would like to thank all of the committee members who graciously participate and sacrifice their time to give back to the community! Committee volunteers are an essential part of what makes a successful HOA and they contribute to making King Farm the amazing neighborhood that it is.

Consider joining your fellow neighbors by joining the Architectural Design Trust (ADT), Board of Code Compliance (BOCC), or the External Affairs Committee (EA)

Architectural Design Trust (ADT):

  • Please note: The ADT committee consists of up to 4 members, not including the Community Architect. THERE IS CURRENTLY ONE OPEN POSITION.
  • ADT meetings are held once a month on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 4:30 PM via Zoom (until further notice). Meetings typically last 30 minutes.
  • The purpose of the committee is to aid the Community Architect in maintaining the visual integrity of the community by reviewing Design Review Applications (DRAs) submitted by homeowners requesting to make design/visual changes to their home or lot. Such as, home renovations, landscaping changes, fence installations, etc.
  • There are no qualifications required to participate in the ADT committee, however, attention to detail and any background knowledge or interest in home improvement, construction, or architectural design work would be helpful.

Board of Code Compliance:

  • Please note: The BOCC committee consists of up to 6 members. THERE ARE CURRENTLY TWO OPEN POSITIONS.
  • The Board of Code Compliance (BOCC) principle purpose and function is to investigate and render judgements on alleged violations of the community codes to ensure that Citizens/Titleholders properly maintain their lots to preserve the appearance of King Farm.  If no Board of Code Compliance has been appointed, then the Board of Trustees (BOT) acts in its place. The BOCC has the authority to conduct hearings and impose punitive measures (impose fines or suspend rights to use certain Community Property) against residents who are found to be in violation of community codes.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:

If you are interested in joining a King Farm Committee, please visit the website and complete the online form (https://kingfarm.org/committee-volunteer/) or you can email Management with your request to volunteer (management@kingfarm.org).  *All committee volunteers are required to be appointed by the KFCA President.

KING FARM MUSIC JAM SOCIAL CLUB IS BACK

The King Farm Music Jam Social Club is a group of hobby musicians, 18 years and older, who live in King Farm and who come together to play music. This group is sponsored by the King Farm Citizens Assembly. Our jam sessions are held monthly throughout the year.

The next jam session is on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00PM. If you require time to set up, the meeting room will be available 30 minutes before the start of the session.

The sessions are held at the King Farm Community Center, 300 Saddle Ridge Circle, Rockville, MD 20850.

Guitarists, keyboardists, percussionists, and other musicians of all levels are welcome to participate. Bring your musical instrument. It is also helpful to bring a music stand and a power strip if power is needed for your equipment. For those who sing, a microphone would be helpful.

Musicians take turns selecting songs. Then, all the musicians play each song together. The person who selects the song may sing or have another player sing. Songs are selected from a jam songbook and generally have common chords. A phone, tablet, or computer is helpful.

Also, feel free to bring song sheets for any songs with common chords you would like to share; 10 to 15 copies should do it.

Please email kingfarmmusicjam@gmail.com if you would like to participate. Thank you.

RockView Program

If you have a ring camera (or other front door/doorbell camera), you can register it with the RCPD. The RockView program allows residents and business owners to voluntary register their privately owned video security camera systems with the RCPD. Registration in the RockView program does not enable law enforcement to view camera footage without an owner’s permission. However, the RockView program will allow city police to quickly identify security cameras that may have captured criminal activity when a crime is reported nearby. For more information about the RockView program, click here

If you have a crime or concern to report, please contact the Rockville City Police Department at:
