Events

The King Farm Neighbors Village (KFNV) has many new events and activities lined up for the beginning of 2026.

  1. Please meet up with the KFNV Walking Club Monday through Thursday at 4pm sharp at the park across from Fontina’s Grill at 801 Pleasant Dr, Rockville, MD 20850.  If you haven’t joined before and plan to, please send a message to kfnvinfo@gmail.com letting the Walking Club know you want to be on the Walking Club Mailing List.  The Walking Club does not meet when the weather is inclement.
  2. On Monday, January 5, 2026 from 2:00-3:00 pm the KFNV Movie Club will meet to review the romantic/ drama film, 84 Charing Cross Road, in the King Farm Community Center (Community Center). The film is based upon the novel of the same title by Helene Hanff.
  3. On Thursday, January 8, 2026, the KFNV Book Club will meet for their monthly meeting in the Community Center to discuss the novel, The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store by James McBride. This historical fiction novel tells the story of the intertwined lives of Black and Jewish residents in the Chicken Hill neighborhood of Pottstown, Pennsylvania during the 1920s and 1930s when 40 years later in 1972 a skeleton is found in a wall.
  4. The following week on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 1:00-3:00 pm, The KFNV Friends Club will meet for lunch at Kung Fu 12 Szechuan in the Fallsgrove Village Center (14921 Shady Grove Road). Come and enjoy the first KFNV Friends luncheon of 2026 with your King Farm friends.

Services

The KFNV continues to support King Farm residents with its community services: transportation to appointments, simple household tasks, some pet services, friendly phone calls/texts, and friendly visits. Please feel free to avail yourself of all of the community services that the KFNV offers. If you are in doubt about whether a task could be performed by one of the KFNV volunteers, go ahead and fill out the service form on the KFNV website. Our Operations Team will get back to you to determine if the task is under our umbrella of tasks. Also, please note that services are open to KFNV members only; however, membership is free and an easy process. See below on how to contact the KFNV to schedule any of the services or with any questions that you may have about the services as well as how to become a KFNV member.

Contacting the KFNV

For most of the KFNV monthly events as well as all the services, membership is required; but membership is as easy as filling out an on-line or mail-in form with residency in the King Farm community being the only membership requirement.  We are a multi-generational Village; therefore, the KFNV welcomes all adult King Farm residents of all ages.

Although there is no fee to become a KFNV member, the KFNV does, however, accept and welcome donations; for these donations help defray the cost of KFNV services and events. In addition, since we are coming to the end of the year, please consider making a contribution to the KFNV as all contributions are charitable contributions per the IRS.

For information on how to register for any of the events, to request a service or a ride, to become a KFNV member or a volunteer, or to make a donation, please contact the Operations Coordinator by calling (301) 799-8104 to  leave a voicemail,  emailing the KFNV at kfnvinfo@gmail.com , or viewing the KFNV website at  www.kfnv.org.

Wishing all of our friends and neighbors a very festive, merry, and peaceful holiday season!
